An "Angel Inn", kept by William Green, was listed in the 1545 census it had 6 beds but no stabling was shown and no address given. The Dover Chronicles on 7 May 1842, printed a list of "Inns & Innkeepers of Dover A.D. 1713. Unfortunately no addresses were given.
