5-6 St Margaret's Street Canterbury
Originally opened as "Cleary's" in the mid 1990s and when that closed in August of 2000, it reappeared as "Billabong" with an Australian theme. However, the small yellow ironing-boards that doubled for surfboard tables probably meant its days were numbered and it closed half way through 2003. Today, after a loft conversion, the premises is running under the name of "Loft" and is a gastrobar.
