Sturry

Chase Winchester has just sent me this photo saying the following:- "I have found a building in Sturry, it looks like it was a pub, unless you already have it on your website, it was demolished for some flats.

Does anyone have any further information regarding this please?

Chase has actually solved this, and it appears to have been the "Sturry Court Club."

Rory Kehoe goes on to say:- This building wasn't a pub but was home to "Sturry Court Club." I never visited the club but as far as I know, anyone from Sturry could join. It ceased trading about 15 years ago and the building, much altered, is now apartments. They must be a dry old bunch in Sturry, as the village has now lost all three of its pubs, plus three more (less than a mile away) have also closed in recent years!
