Deal 1942
Annoyingly, this wartime (censored?) photo was captioned "Striking mineworkers drinking in a Deal pub - 1942." Given that these miners were probably from Betteshanger Colliery, there's a possibility this photo was taken in the "Yew Tree." Not much help but I do have some background information on the strike.
