The above building is in Bank Street, Herne Bay, and it certainly has the appearance if a former pub. I am informed that the sea is to the right.

Mike Bundock kindly informs me that it was once a Butchers and goes on to say:- "I do not think it has even been a licensed premises. For interest, I attach a Victorian image dating from around 1880 of the premises in use as a butchers. At the time, it was operated by Alfred Curling and the road was known as Underdown Street. I'm not exactly sure when it was changed to Bank Street, but it was around 1925 - maybe when Barclay's Bank arrived.
