Above overlay map, kindly produced by Paul Wells. |
From the Folkestone Chronicles, 25 June, 1859.
During the firing of
the guns at the Fort by the Royal Lancashire Artillery, the roof of a
house in Seven Star Street, occupied by Mr. Bounding, fell in, crushing
the furniture, etc. Happily no person was hurt.
David Boulding, who kindly sent me this
account, goes on to say:- "I’m not sure which Mr. Boulding but I suspect
Edmund Boulding pawnbroker’s assistant." |
