Above photo, 25 June 1904. Showing two engines crossing the Wellington Dock swing bridge. It was a trial run to test out the new line to the end of the Prince of Wales pier (the Water station) using the heaviest of locomotives. It was all a success and the first Hamburg America Line scheduled pick up call for New York happened shortly afterwards.
