Deal.
The Harmonic Society of this town has commenced the winter season by
meeting every alternate Monday at the "Horse and Farrier Inn." The
attendance last week, both as regards numbers and respectability, was
extremely fluttering. Taking into consideration the minor pretensions of
the orchestra with respect to numbers, the music far exceeded the most
sanguine expectations. The refreshments, as usual, were all that could
be desired, both with respect to quality and quantity, and much credit
is due to the worthy host, Mr. Brooker, for his prompt attention to the
wishes of his guests.
