Railway Station Newington Sittingbourne
There is also a "Newington near Hythe" I have decided to add information as well as photos, when I find or acquire it. Your help is appreciated.
The "Leigh Arms" ought to be "Legh Arms," named after Edward de Legh, the last owner of the manor house. The house was demolished to provide access to the station (1862) and the road was called Legh Street, later renamed Station Road. Now another one unfortunately closed but not yet sure when and being used for residential purposes.
