At present I know nothing regarding this establishment, apart from a token was found in Dover with the inscription:- "THOMAS. FIDG. AT. THE. = Mercers' Arms. MAYDEN. HEAD. IN. DOVER. = T.M.F."

Unfortunately no date was given and I do not have an image of the coin as yet.

A mercer being an occupation or a merchant or trader, more specifically a merchant who deals in textiles / mercery.
