Listed in a directory of 1878 and owned and supplied by Beer and Rigden's in 1888, the premises closed in 1968 and is now a private house.

 

From the Inns of Canterbury by Edward Wilmot.

In 1920 the landlord of the "Nunnery Tavern" was charged with an offence against the Spirits (Prices and Descriptions) Order 1919.
