Research tells me that from a photograph taken in January 1944,
that the pub was damaged from a nearby bomb blast, unfortunately I haven't been able to trace it yet,
it shows the pub with
smashed windows.
I am informed that this pub unfortunately closed some time after 1983 and
before 1985. After closing as a public house it was a restaurant and tea
rooms for a short time, but eventually closed for good and became a private
residence.
Local knowledge and photographs needed to help assist me with this
project.
