It was a new build for either Watney or Tamplins and opened on the 19th of October 1967 and was built on the site of Adam's Woodyard. It had structural problems, as I believe its sister pub somewhere in Sussex also had. I think the Sussex one was demolished before the Ashford one which was closed and demolished mid-1990s. This is now (2014) the site of the Co-op.

As time allows and I find or are sent further information or pictures regarding this pub I will be adding further information to this page.
