This was situated right door to the "Belle Vue Tavern." It chose its name after the areas connection with smugglers, those who operated at the dead of night.

It was quite infamous for the antics that people used to get up to on the terrace that stretched out into the cliffs, but as yet I haven't found any documentation referring to it.

It later changed name to the "Sir Stanley Gray" but as yet I don't know when this happened.
