The "Princess of Wales" is part of a row of terraced houses, and was built soon after 1863, when the future Princess was aboard the Royal Yacht which anchored off Margate on 5th March, an event which caused great excitement in the town, and was originally built as three former houses. Now owned by Shepherd Neame, it has recently had its children's room and saloon bar knocked into one after a refit, but still (2016) has two bars.
With this website becoming increasingly bigger, the amount of in-depth research I am able to do is becoming increasingly watered down. For that reason I have no immediate thoughts to researching pubs in Margate. However, should viewers have any information regarding the pub on this page, or indeed photographs old or new, I am most certainly interested and will add the information to this page. Your help is appreciated.
