16 New Street Margate
Originally a coaching inn called the "New Inn, but I am informed it has been known by its present title since 1793. It was altered to an open plan with just the one bar in 1983. It closed again in 2004, and reopened as "Sharp's" in 2006, and another refit. Then it operated as "Catch 22" between for a couple of years between 2007 and 2009, then the name again changed to "Roos" around 2009. I am informed that the pub has again closed and has been converted to residential use.
