PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1847-

Royal Oak

Latest 1859

(Name to)

Teynham

The building was on land owned by the Honeyball family. Transfer of ownership took place between brewers Style and Winch and the Vallance family in1905 and freehold in 1917 from the Honeyball family.

It is believed that the "Royal Oak" changed name to the "Rose Inn" some time before 1881.

A Richard Hop is named as tenant in the building from some Teynham Tythe Award Schedules, but unfortunately they aren't dated.

From the Kentish Gazette - 19th March 1844
