87 South Road Faversham
Listed as number 26 in the 1881 census and Ospringe Road in 1882. The pub closed its door in the 1990s and is now a private house. The pub was built near the site of the town gallows. The name is probably unique in England, but is actually a corruption of St Agnes' Cross, which once stood there and was a stopping-place for the Rogationtide processions which passed through the town. The building gained a Grade 2 listing on 27 September 1989.
