New Street Deal
I have found mention of this pub from a list of former pubs of Deal and Walmer at Deal library. To date I have no further information regarding this establishment, not even a date. I am informed by Steve Glover that this may be a mistake and that the premises actually refers to the "Salutation" in Sandwich. However, it has also been suggested that the pub changed name to the "Silver Lion" some time before 1843 when it was indeed before it was called the "Friendly Port."
