Limekiln Street Dover
Unexpectedly found in the Kelly's Directory of 1903, is the name F. E. Potts as licensee that year. The address is given as Lime Kiln Street, and it definitely says "Scotch House," so I have no idea where this one suddenly came from, and this is the only reference I have for this.
I often heard mention of this but long searches revealed nothing. A coinage token did exist in 1658, bearing the initials IAB and depicting a unicorn, and the words, "Skoch Armes". Like the rampant lion of today, the unicorn would have been significant to Scotland and James 1st. I (Paul Skelton) believe this entry by Barry Smith may be the same pub as mentioned on the "Skoch Arms" page, however, the spelling is different and I do have a location for this one.
