Sutton vale Celebrates 30 YEARS.
SUTTON Vale Country Club and Caravan Park is celebrating its 30th
anniversary and a special weekend open event is planned to help
toast the occasion.
On Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23, the club and caravan park
at Ripple will be open to the public from 1lam until 3pm.
The event will provide an opportunity to have a look around the
six-acre site and the club’s managing director Peter Norris senior
has organised a special offer for visitors.
"For anyone who buys a new caravan in April there will be a saving
of £2,000," he said.
"We are members of the British Tourist Board and the South East
Tourist Board and have been successful in bringing lots of foreign
tourists and English holiday makers to the area,” said Mr Norris,
who has recently acquired the "Plough Inn" at
Rippie, the 17th
century pub.
He is hoping his special open weekend will attract even more
visitors to his club and caravan park and the event coincides with
the first ever Holiday Parks Open Weekend, being promoted by the
British Holiday and Home Parks Association.
Visitors to Sutton Vale Country Club and Caravan Park will have a
chance to see the on-site facilities and activities, including the
clubhouse, sports field, games room, swimming pool, crochet lawn,
short mat bowls, barbecue area and function room.
Teams of guides will be available for the tours and details will be
given about club membership, which costs £10 for a family for a
year, with the opportunity of using all the facilities free of
charge.
The park has almost 100 caravans on the site, surrounded by rolling
Kent countryside on the road between Rippie and Sutton villages.
There are luxury caravan holiday homes, available for short and long
term lets, or holiday ownership caravans, with all the comforts of
home — and more.
The country club has its own comfortable restaurant and there is
regular entertainment organised. On Friday, April 28, Tony Martin,
Deal’s own answer to Frank Sinatra, will be providing the
cabaret and the £10 tickets include a three course meal and a free
half bottle of wine.
Pianist Ian Gomes will be the lunchtime guest on April 30. He will
be at Sutton Vale hot from the Savoy in London and he played for
Frank Sinatra for a week during his visit to England last year.
Sutton Vale also organises regular disco nights, book live bands and
on Sunday, May 7, there will be VE Day celebrations, with a special
street party for children and entertainment for the adults.
