Only one reference to this house found to date, and that when the death of the wife of a Mr. J. White was reported in the Dover Telegraph, on May 11, 1846. It was reported she was 24 years of age.

Worthington's lane gained its named from about 1786 and ran from Biggin Street to York Street the same as Worthington Street today, but was only a lane till its widening in 1895 when the south side was  demolished.

DEATH.

White:— May 11, at the "Turk's Head," Worthington Lane, Dover, the wife of Mr. J. White, aged 24.
