This building was built in 1896, according to the sign on the outside wall, until recently was trading as a real ale pub with accommodation, but at the start of 2008 was reported in "Channel Draught" as being closed and a notice in the window says it is now known as "Rose Garden".

Another pub also listed in Westmarsh was called the "Rose". I have just had confirmation that this pub was previously called the "Rose." but do not yet know when the name changed, certainly after 1963 and probably nearer 1974.

The CAMRA branch meeting of August 2008 reported that although closed the premises had retained its licence. The meeting in September reported that the above pub was now called the "Rose Garden Tea Rooms."

Looks like this has now closed as a tea room as well. Expect covid had something to do with that, but permission was been given to convert the tea rooms into a dwelling on 2 February 2022.
