Cottage Row Deal
Information collected to date stems from the following web site http://deadpubs.co.uk/KentPubs/ Cottage Row was re-named Wellington Road, obviously after the name of the pub, but I do not know when. Another pub also addressed in Cottage Row is the "Ramsgate Harbour." This was also found in a list of outlets for Alfred Leney, so could have been serving possibly just as a Off Licence as late as 1926. Supplied by Alfred Leney Co Ltd, who bought out Thomas Walker's Phoenix Brewery in 1859 and registered as such in 1896, until bought out by Fremlin Brothers brewery of Maidstone in 1926, brewing at the Dover brewery ceased in 1927, which later passed to Whitbread.
