Welcoming brewery open to all
LOTS OF BOTTLE: Romney Marsh Brewery owner and brewer Matt Calais says
business is good.
AS WELL as supplying pubs, restaurants and shops throughout the area,
the award-winning Romney Marsh Brewery has now opened its doors for
direct sales to the public. Owner and brewer Matt Calais tells us
more...
Q:
How have things been since winning Kent Beer of the Year 2016?
A:
Busy! Our winning Romney Amber ale has been in real demand, but there’s
also been a big rise in sales for the new beers we’ve introduced this
year - our pale, session ale Romney Marsh Mellow and our dark, seasonal
Romney Cinque Porter.
Q:
Where is your shop?
A:
At the brewery in New Romney. We’re on the Mountfield Industrial Estate,
opposite the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway Station.
Q:
What are your opening hours?
A:
Every Friday 9.30-5.30pm and Saturday mornings throughout November and
December.
Q:
What gifts do you have for Christmas?
A:
We have presentation packs of all our bottled beers, with one that also
includes an engraved pint glass.
Q:
We have five-litre party kegs
of cask-conditioned beer to take away. We also have Romney Marsh Brewery
t-shirts and bar runners.
Q:
Do you offer brewery tours?
A:
We can organise tours by prior arrangement for groups of ten or more.
Tours last 90 minutes, cost £10 per person and include a guided beer
tasting session. Give us a call to pre-book.
