The building has also gone under the name of the "Station Inn," but previous 1864 it was known as the "Rising Sun." The original building mentioned above was demolished around 1900 and replaced for a new building with the same name.

Although it continued as a pub and was operating as one in 1967, it has since closed.

LICENSING.

This was the day appointed as a Special Sessions for the granting and transfer of ale house licenses, and the following licenses were transferred:-

The "Station Inn," Tonbridge, to Albert Pearson, from the executrix of David Cripps, deceased.

Lamberhurst Brewery Estate.

Important sale at Tunbridge Wells.

One of the biggest sales of licensed houses held in the provinces in recent years was conducted by Messrs. Wickenden and Sons at the Pump Room, Tunbridge Wells, on Friday, when the Lamberhurst Brewery Estate, comprising 68 lots, came Under the Hammer. The lots sold were:-
