I have only found the one reference to this establishment at present and that was in the Licensing Records of 1872. The records stated that the premises held a Full License and was owned by Edward Winch of Chatham.

Public house and beer house information.

The following publicans and beer sellers, at Chatham, were charged, at the instances of Superintendent Everist, with keeping their houses open for the sale of beer after the legal hour of 11 o'clock at night.

Richard Turley, of the "Saracen's Head,"

John Durling, of the "Queen Victoria,"

Thomas Cameron, of the "Ropemaker's Arms,

Charles Tassell, of the "Plough," Ordnance place, each fined 20s., and 12s. costs;
