PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

 Earliest 1464

1639 (Name from)

Horn

Latest 1769

(Name to)

12 High Street

Gravesend

Dated as early as 1464 and traced under that name till 1769. However, it also appears to have been called the "Marquis of Granby" before 1639.

From the dates known, there is either some confusion here, or the "Horn" changed name to the "Marquis and Granby" and back again during its time. Although that pub is also referred to as being another during those years.

Quite a lot of confusion with these pubs, which hopefully will get sorted as more information comes to light.

I have just started to map out the pubs that exist or existed in Gravesend, but need local knowledge and photographs, old and current if you have any.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation. Every email is answered and all information referenced to the supplier.

This page will be updated as soon as further information is found.
