PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1528

Flower De Luce

Latest 1775

(Name to)

High Street

Gravesend

Known as the "Three Flower De Luces" and also "Flower De Luce."

The pub can be traced back to 1528. Around 1775 it changed name to the "Marquis of Granby" and then again in 1806 to the "Lord Nelson Hotel."

The "Half Moon and Stars" have also been reported and being close by.

There is also reference to the "Horn" being in the High Street from 1464 and 1769. Thus some overlapping of years with this one.

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just started to map out the pubs that exist or existed in Gravesend, but need local knowledge and photographs, old and current if you have any.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation. Every email is answered and all information referenced to the supplier.

This page will be updated as soon as further information is found.
