Also known simply as the "Sun" in Echo Square on the corner of Sun Lane and Cross lane East, the pub was situated on what is (2000) the Wing Hing Chinese restaurant.

Ian Goodrick tells me that this is most likely also the "Sun" at Echo Square. Parrock farm was the area across the road from the pub. It was parcelled up in lots and sold at auction around 1905. Parrock Avenue had one of the first houses to be build on this land about 1906.

The Gravesend Magazine of 1914 reported this as follows:- The Old Beer House that stood at the commencement of Cross Lane. The pond was just down the lane on the left and the pound faced the house.
