Former Don Cossack 2015

Above photo, 2015, by Stephen Harris.

Originally known as the "Cossack" this either changed name to the "Don Cossack" between 1847 and 1858 or it was just laziness on behalf of those documenting the full name originally.

Looking at the 1900 picture, it seems the building has either been greatly renovated before its closure, or totally rebuilt, possibly in the 1930s looking at the style of the new building.

Closed some time in the 1990s to become a Chinese takeaway.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
