The Inn was featured on BBC's Tomorrows World when Super Chilled Coors - the coldest beer available in the World, was launched as it is chilled to sub zero temperatures and was only available at a limited number of outlets. The pub is was closed by 2009 but don't know exactly when it shut. It was previously called the "Red Lion." There have also been rumours since 2015 that the premises is going to be demolished to create a new access for the college behind, but as of 2018 nothing appears to have happened.
Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history. As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here. Thanks for your co-operation.
