34 Constitution Hill Snodland
The off-license was originally known as the "Paperhanger's" Arms" but I do not yet know why or when it changed name. It appears to have been called the "Papermaker's Arms" between 1881 and 1901 but the head of house was not at the time referred to as licensees but only the other trades misted in the census. Although the list I have at the "Paperhanger's" Arms" suggests otherwise.
LICENSEE LIST ANDREWS Thomas 1881-91+ (general labourer age 61 in 1891) PENTON Edward 1901+ (hall porter "Cambridge Club" age 45 in 1901) VICTOR Frank "Victor" 1964-70
