The building was erected in about 1894 and operated under the name of the "First and Last." I am not sure when the name changed to the "Tudor Rose" but it held that name till about 1977 when it again changed name to the "Golden Eagle."

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history.
