12 Northgate Street Canterbury
The name of the pub was mentioned in a "Poem of Canterbury", that was written around 1885. The notes attached to that document also state that the pub used to be called the "British Flag" till about 1878. I have traced it under this name till 1882. I am informed that it used to face the Jesus Hospital.
