I have been informed that the pub changed name to the "Tonic Bar," date unknown.

This has also been known as the "Box Bar" (dates unknown), "Flatfoot Sams" and the "Greyhound."

Late night venue The Beckenham announced it is to close on Saturday.

Bar The Beckenham made a shock announcement that it is to close in less than a week.

The venue, along Beckenham High Street, has been open for five years but this Saturday (March 7) is to be its last night.

Yesterday (March 2) they posted a message on social media saying: "After 5 years, many a late night and being the cause of several (thousand) hangovers, we will be filling the dance floor for the final time this Saturday.

"It's been an amazing ride but we are looking forward to our next journey.

"We hope to see you all for a drink or two this weekend to see her off in true Beckenham style."
