Also addressed as 1 James Street in 1899 and earlier (but at Abinger Road in 1884), prior to street renaming.

The pub can be traced from between 1895 and 2013 and was a former Charrington's house.

This pub is very similar to the "Lord Palmerston" in Penge that it's frightening.
