I believe the Sawyers Arms was originally called the "Snoring Cat" but as yet do not know when it operated under that name. It was certainly known by this name by the locals who used it, even to later days when it was the "Sawyers Arms."

Today the premises has been converted into residential premises, one called the Sawyers Croft and the other, Snoring Cat Cottage.
