South Street Deal
Mentioned in Steve Glover and Michael Rogers book The Old Pubs of Deal and Walmer. This was the skating rink and only held the name "Alcazar" for a few years around 1900. Either side of that it was known simply as the "Rink." In 1922 the "Walmer Castle" which was situated next door took over the site, having been sold by Thompson's brewery, along with the hotel, shop and stables for £6,000 and advertised it as their "Palm Court Illuminated Grounds of dancing."
