Westerham
This house was shown in a list of public houses said to be open in the first 25 years of the 18th century, as mentioned in an article by the Sevenoaks Chronicle and Kentish Advertiser, 23 January, 1903. At present, no other information is known. Rory Kehoe says the following:- "I've seen a note recently, which suggests that the "General Wolfe" was formerly called the "King's Head." This might make sense, given that James Wolfe was killed in action in the taking of Quebec on 13th September 1759. Could the "King's Head" have been renamed in order to honour this local hero?"
