This was once known as the "King Alfred" but a Aldi supermarket is now (2017) operating on the footprint of the demolished building.

Further research tells me that this was where the group Squeeze reunited on 12 January 1985, live at the Panther Club, Saxon Tavern, Catford. It was also said that this was a Mecca for the soul/jazz funk crowd.

This venue was also popular with Les Dawson, Charlie Williams, Bob Monkhouse, and Larry Grayson.

Has also been called "Bonnies" at some time, nor sure whether that was before of after the "Saxon Tavern."
