Pizen Well Wateringbury
The Barley Mow was recorded as a beer shop in the 1851 Wateringbury census. Unfortunately the southern side of Wateringbury census returns are missing for 1861. Dail Whiting points out that it has been wrongly suggested that this may have become the "Wheatsheaf," but other archive records prove that it was actually an early name for the the "Good Intent," now a listed 16th century building.
