The Hill Northfleet
According to the Lost Pubs Project, this pub was addressed as The Hill and was operating from between 1636 and 1723. Unfortunately that is all the information I have on this one at present. The area called The Hill is where the "Ye Olde Coach and Horses" is situated today, and the same area as the "Dove" used to be. It is as yet unknown whether there is any connection between the two. Also in the same area as the "Marquis of Granby," and the "Queen's Head" were. The Lost Pubs Project also mentions another pub in the same area called the "Crown and Horseshoe" which could possibly be the same building. The information being given by a Tom Baines. Further information supplied by Michael Norman suggests that indeed it changed name in 1718 to the "Queen's Head."
