The Lost Pubs Project says the pub was situated on the Pier Road and was later called the "Bar" just before it finally closed.

It was originally known as the "Britannia" and then "Spatz."

At some time it has also been known as the "Strand" and then when Sanjay Ravel took over as manager he called it "Expressions."

It eventually changed name again to "Bar Intermission" before finally closing.
