Main Road Knockholt 01959 533602 https://www.whatpub.com/tally-ho
At one time a Watney pub and was originally called the "Royal Oak." In February 1975 it was a Watney Coombe Reid pub who changed the name to the "Tally Ho." Licensee Chris in 1985 was also known as the "mad Chef." In 1991 Pam Ford bought the freehold and the pub because a Freehouse. Mentored by the Late David Gerring (ex detective on Lord Lucan case) of the Sevenoaks LVA, who said Pam was the first Single Mother, sole trader Female (age 32) who bought the free hold with help from HSBC Sevenoaks (and John Skelton from Eynsford pub?) to beat Grand Met estates by buying one of their failing pubs and make it a roaring success.
Local knowledge and old photos needed please. I am informed in March 2019 that although still open the owners have applied for a change of use to residential.
This has just been confirmed and the premises has been awarded a change of use to residential, which will happen no later than 27th June 2020.
