The book "Boxley, The Story of an English Village, by Daevid Hook & Robin Ambrose," states that the "Three Straws" changed name to the "Three Salmons" in 1685 and operated under that name till at least 1716. There is no mention of it between 1716 and 1785, but by then it was called the "Gibraltar."
