Ivy Lane Canterbury
Said to be on the site of what was to become the "Navy Arms." This establishment closed circa 1700. Reference found in a 1780 city rent book referring to "Formerly the sign of the Ship." Also found in a 1692 Licence List of City Inns (The Ebblewhite List) and in 1693 a Billeting List offering the "Ship" four soldiers.
