Bakers Arms token

Above showing both side of the farthing token stamped MOYSES POTTER AT on one side with the shield of the Baker's Arms in the centre, and on the reverse, DEALE IN KENT and the initials M P in the centre.

This may have been for use in an inn but not necessarily so, it could have been for a Baker's shop. These were very popular for businesses as well as pubs in the mid 1600's.

I have reference to a Thomas Potter at a similar time and for a "Grocer's Arms" who may have been related.

The Arms shown could just be a Guild Crest and not Arms as is public house, as these tokens were popular for both types of establishments during the mid 17th century, and were used to pay for goods in the premises named.
