Wine bar theft.

TWO new air conditioning units worth more than 5,000 have been stolen from the back of Jay's Wine Bar in Bench Street, Dover.

They were in their boxes and were taken between the early hours of Sunday, August 24, and 10.30am on Bank Holiday Monday, August 25.

As the units were heavy, police believe there could be more than one offender and that they would have used a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on Dover (01304) 240055 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The pub is now the "Funky Monkey". (2007)
