Pigot's Directory 1839 from the Sandwich are mentions a "Marquis of Granby" under the rule of an Ambrose Cullen. However, there is no address given and this directory has included public houses from Eastry and Ash, so I am not certain whether the pub is in the Sandwich area. Time and further research will tell.
